While every couples' journey to each other is unique and special, Beth and Daryl's story begins in two separate pages in two different states.

Daryl is a west coast boy, San Diego born and raised, while Beth hails from the Midwest.  They had very different starts in life, and each defining experience they went through molded them to fit each other like puzzle pieces.  Even though Beth felt as if she had waited ages her prince charming to sweep her off her feet, in retrospect, he arrived at the perfect time.  The old addage that "Good things come to those who wait" had proven true once again.

Beth met Daryl at his culinary school graduation in 2011 through a very close mutual friend.  Despite his intense concentration on the culinary arts, Daryl found himself interested in more than just great food and a refined palate, and was searching for the right woman to share it with.  And then there was Beth...

​

Even though her first loves were (and always will be) her dogs, she knew there was a critical link missing in their pack.  The more Beth and Daryl got to know each other, the more their connection grew.  With every trip Beth made to San Diego, their attraction seemed to magnetically pull she and Daryl together.  Through much soul searching, Beth knew she had to take a chance and see if this guy really was all that and a bag of potato chips, as Dr. Evil would say. In July of 2014, Beth took a giant leap of faith, and moved to California to be closer to her Chef.

Although she was in a whole new state, city, and neighborhood, she found herself closer to home, because after all, home is where the heart is, and Beth's heart was whereever Daryl was.  On Beth's second day in San Diego, the couple had their first official date, wherein Daryl took Beth to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and they immediately bonded over stupid humor, including but not limited to laughing hysterically at the flatulent leather chairs in the high-end movie theater.  They knew that very night that they had found something together, and it was better than they could've ever hoped. 

​

Daryl got down on one knee and proposed to Beth on December 23rd, 2015, while they were visiting Beth's family in Atlanta for the holidays.  Even though Daryl loves to tease Beth that she never actually said "yes," he knew by her unrelenting sobs, repeated hugs, and uncontrollable affirmative nodding that the answer was "Duh... Heck yes I will!"

​

They will say "I do" to each other just outside the stunningly beautiful Yosemite National Park on Saturday, March 18, 2017.  As lovers of the National Parks and the great outdoors, they could not imagine a more fitting location to share such a grand event with their family and friends.
